Artist's Statement

My current works are mostly done with Acrylics because of the fast drying time and the similarities to both oils and watercolors. I have developed techniques to allow me make my paintings look like oils. My style of painting is mostly realism with a strong fondness for nature scenes and wildlife with birds being a particular favorite of mine. Most birds are very colorful and give you a very calm and pleasing feeling when you see one in a painting. Most of my paintings are done from photographs that I took here in Arkansas.
